Bible Verse
Psalm 136:1
"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever."
Connection
Being thankful means, taking the time, being present, and to silence your distractions. Give thanks to our Lord, to everything we are presented with each day. This means to live a heart with thankfulness, not just when things are hard, but always and every day. Being thankful means to share gratitude with God for all the big things and all the small things in your life. Realizing that everything and everyone around you, God has created. It's not only about the present, but it's about thanking God for the past and how he has worked in your life.
Every day, I see how God works in my life. I start my morning each day with prayer. I do use the Bible app. I like this app, because it guides me through prayer with being thankful, as well as saying prayers in how it relates to my life. Each day, I realize the amazing things God has created. I am thankful for the warmth of the sunlight, and the beautiful nature that surrounds me. I'm so very thankful for the people He has placed in my life. My children and my loved ones. I'm also very thankful for all of the hard moments He has gotten me through. It's about recognizing from the start of your day until the end of your day . . . all that God has done for you.
Devotion
As soon as you open your eyes tomorrow. . .stop and think about three big things you are thankful for, and three small things you are thankful are. Talk to God about why you are thankful for those things. This will bring more meaning to you too.
