Bible Verse

Proverbs 17:17

"A friend loves at all times."

Connection

He is thoughtful, loving, patient, compassionate and loyal. Those are the attributes that God describes who a partner should be. Those attributes describe what true love is in any season of life. I am so blessed to have found my life partner. He starts my day with joy each day with, "Good Morning." Those simple words touch my heart with so much happiness. Each day, every day, I am blessed to hear, "I love you, and how is your day?" When I hear those treasured words, they aren't just words. They are words that remind me just how much he loves me. Beyond that, he listens to me, he encourages me and strengthens me each day. Even when I fall, he lifts me back up. He recognizes when I'm off just a bit, and he immediately knows how to strengthen me. What's more special than anything, is he prays with me. That special moment when we focus on our Lord. He who made us, protects us, and loves us more than anything. God wants us to feel loved, just as he loves us.

God designed relationships to be made with love. True love that supports joyful moments and when you have challenged moments. God places this special person in our life for a reason. God wants to remind us that we are not alone, and that we always have someone by your side.

Devotion

Today, tomorrow and every day, take time to tell your partner you love them. Remember, they aren't just words. It's how you say them and it's how you show them. What can you do today to show him just how much he means to you?

Thank you for reminding me that often times it's the small things that make a big impact. The simple words "Good morning" to start their day. "I love you" spoken randomly in the middle of the afternoon. Or "Sleep Well" before they close their eyes. All of these moments and words matter to the people we love and who love us back.
